An existing husband and wife team of dental associate clients approached us to look at the feasibility and funding of a brand new dental practice development in the Meadowbank area of Edinburgh.
The scheme was designed to make use of the grants available from the Scottish Office for NHS Dental practices that meet certain criteria as well as a considerable investment of private capital from the banks.
Manse Capital helped in the advice and construction of the original business plan and obtained the private funding for the project through a specialist healthcare lender. The practice opened in 2006 and is now one of the Scottish Office’s NHS flagship Dental practices.
Manse Capital are providing ongoing advice and guidance to both the business and the principals themselves and the second stage of development including the opening of two more surgeries is scheduled for July 2009.

We were approached by an existing associate in practice who wished to look at the feasibility and funding options available for buying out his retiring Principal in the private practice he worked in.
The scheme was to involve a complete refit and re-launch of the business requiring a significant initial outlay of private capital to purchase the freehold, good will and fund the redevelopment. After initial consideration of the accounts and the construction of a business plan the scheme was shown to be viable and funding was arranged in two stages over three years via a specialist healthcare lender.
The business was purchased in 2007, is now flourishing and is a modern very well equipped private dental practice. Manse Capital continue to provide ongoing support and advice to both the business and the Principal to ensure continued success for both parties.

We were approached by an existing husband and wife team of Dental Associate clients who were looking to buy a Dental practice to take forward their own professional business development and from it develop their personal lifestyle financial planning.
The search for a suitable practice took over 12 months and many different opportunities were considered by the clients. All were rejected for either practical or financial reasons as the business plans and models simply did not stack up on a risk and return basis.
Eventually the couple found a practice in Nottingham which was both practical, well priced, and did stand the test of an analysis of its business figures through previous accounts and a business plan.
Private funding was then arranged through a specialist health care provider and the practice was bought in December 2008.
